Angel performs Cher Tribute at Benefit Concert
Angel Espinoza's,Tribute to Cher was one of the featured acts in a recent concert for "Put A Smile On A Child's Face". Angel performed a couple of songs with Ray Lopez, a Vegas Elvis Tribute artist in the show, where he performed a couple of Elvis's famous gospel songs.
The concert took place in Espanola, NM at the Northern New Mexico Performing Arts Center. The proceeds from the concert go to buying Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in the Espanola Valley in December. This is one of Angel's personal favorite charities to perform for.
New Mexico Recording Artist, Angel Espinoza Performs at EXPO New Mexico
Angel Espinoza performed with her band Eternidad on Saturday, September 12, 2009 on the new stage and recently remodeled Villa Hispana. Angel performed some of her hit songs, such as, "El Corrido de Don Juan de Onate", "No Te Vayas" and "Mi Angelito - Angel Baby Cumbia".
Angel has been a featured artist at the Villa Hispana for many years, performing with her band and with mariachi as well. She is a very versitile performer and is always well received at the Villa Hispana stage

Angel's Son, Santiago Espinoza, Four-peat Mariachi Maestro
Santiago Espinoza, recent Espanola Valley High School class of 2011 graduate, was selected for the 4th year in a row to play vihuela in the Master’s Class at the 21st Annual Mariachi Spectacular. Nearly one hundred students auditioned and only fourteen were selected at this year’s auditions. The Master’s Class was featured at a concert at Civic Plaza on Friday, July 8th and at Sandia Amphitheatre in a Mariachi Star-studded line-up which included Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jose Hernandez, Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán and Mariachi Los Gallos de Mexico.
Santiago is the son of New Mexico recording artist Angel Espinoza and James Espinoza. Santiago has been a member of Mariachi Sol del Valle and has been playing the vihuela, a rhythm instrument similar to a guitar since he was in 7th grade, under the direction of Alfonso Trujillo.
Santiago is a recepient of the Youth Group of the Year Award at the 2010 New Mexico Hispano Music Awards for the group he founded, “Mariachi Nuevo Mexicano”. Mariachi Nuevo Mexicano was featured at Civic Plaza for the Mariachi Spectacular and performed a special musical tribute to mariachi legend, Jose Hernandez at last year's concert. The group performed a medley that was arranged by Hernandez called, “Popourri de Huapangos”. Santiago is also the New Mexico Hispano Music Award winner for Youth Artist of the Year in 1997.
Angel Performs Tribute to Cher along with Elvis & Tom Jones Tribute Artist
Angel recently performed her Tribute to Cher for New Year's Eve at the Double Tree Hotel in downtown Albuquerque, along with Angel was Kevin Fannin, a very talented Tom Jones and Elvis tribute Artist. The tribute artists were featured during a New Year's Eve dinner show, followed by a dance featuring a local DJ.
Angel Meets Tejano Legend, Sunny Ozuna"
Angel Espinoza met Tejano Legend and Superstar Sunny Ozuna at the New Mexico State Fair. Both artists performed on the same bill on the first Saturday of the 2008 New Mexico State Fair drawing large crowds of fans who enjoy Tejano and New Mexico music.

Angel was accompanied by Espanola's own, Mariachi Sol Del Valle in which her son Santiago is a member.In January of 2009, the group performed in Washington DC for the Presidential Inauguration Parade.
